Sensation & Perception

A shareable 8-day sequence for 90-minute blocks.

The through-line

This unit is the most demo-driven in the course, and that's the right instinct: nearly every concept here can be students rather than described. The Monkey Business Illusion beats any definition of inattentional blindness. The jelly bean demo makes sense-interaction undeniable. Weber's law is a lecture point or a two-minute experiment with the class as subjects.

Pacing

Your header budgets ~6 days. Here's how to get from 8 to 6, and what it costs.

How to use the lesson pages

  • Same conventions as every unit in this course — one path per slot, 90-minute blocks, bold non-negotiables, alternates in the appendices. The full how-to is on the course page.
  • Your header says ~6 days. The source contains eight lesson entries plus a test day — two of them are both labeled "Day 6," with different content. Several days also overlap heavily: Days 1 and 2 share an identical vocabulary block and identical key questions, and Days 4 and 5 both run the visual-sense finish, the jelly bean flavor activity, the auditory presentation, the eye-and-ear diagram, and Crash Course #5. Untangled, the content is seven teaching days plus a test. That's what's laid out below, with a six-day compression at the end if that's the real budget.
