Developmental Psychology

A shareable 9-day sequence for 90-minute blocks.

7–9% of the AP ExamAssigned reading: Chapter 10 (Blue Book) — see the appendix; the source gives two different chapters9 class days

The through-line

Development is the unit with the most names to remember — Piaget, Erikson, Kohlberg, Harlow, Lorenz, Ainsworth, Baumrind, Kübler-Ross, Gilligan, Vygotsky — and the least intuitive structure, because four of them propose Piaget: cognitive. Erikson: psychosocial. Kohlberg: moral. Ainsworth: attachment. Kübler-Ross: grief. Students who hold that frame stop confusing "concrete operational" with "industry vs. inferiority." Build the four-column chart on Day 1 and add to it every day.

How to use the lesson pages

  • Same conventions as every unit in this course — one path per slot, 90-minute blocks, bold non-negotiables, alternates in the appendices. The full how-to is on the course page.
